Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, born on 14th March, 1971 at Patiala, Punjab (India), graduated in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Mysore University, Mysore in the year 1993. He did his Master of Engineering in Power & Machines from Thapar University, Patiala and Ph.D. in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering from SLIET (A Centrally Funded Deemed University established by Govt. of India), Longowal. Starting his teaching profession as Lecturer from SLIET in the year 1997, Dr. Manna is Director (Administration) and SWAYAM Project Cell Incharge.
He has been associated with drafting norms and standards, procedures, rules and regulations for implementing the mandate given in the AICTE Act. He worked with All India Boards of Studies and various other committees constituted for formulating policies for planning, promotion and regulation of technical education in the country for last 25 years, which include;
Prof. Alok Prakash Mittal started his teaching career at REC, Kurukshetra as a Lecturer in 1985, joined REC Hamirpur(Himachal Pradesh) as Assistant Professor in 1987. Dr. A.P.
