Dr. Vimlesh Kumar Soni, Director (Approval Bureau) is on deputation from Maulan Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal (An Institute of National Importance) since 11th December 2015. Presently he is posted as Director in Approval Bureau and is responsible to process the approval of New Institutes / continuation of approval to existing institutes / release of NoC to release the JFDRs / Security deposits and any other matters related to the bureau.
He graduated from Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur (Formerly Govt Engineering College, Jabalpur, MP) in Mechanical Engineering and is awarded Master of Engineering (Industrial Engineering and Management) from Shri G. S. Institute of Technology and Science, Indore (MP). He worked with Centre for Entrepreneurship Development Madhya Pradesh as faculty and coordinator at various levels for about ten years till 2003. He has been working with MANIT Bhopal since 2003 and earned his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from MANIT Bhopal.
He has a vast research experience by way of supervising PhD scholars, M.Tech. and UG projects apart from publishing research work in about 57 International and National journals of high repute. Three Ph. D. scholars have completed their PhDs under his supervision while three more scholars shall be completing their Doctorate shortly.
He has attended several conferences and presented research papers in India and abroad (USA, UK and South Africa). He has executed two Govt of India projects to establish laboratories in his parent institute.
